About Neel
Neel believes a mortgage is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make, and that it deserves more than generic advice. Before he recommends anything, he takes the time to understand your full financial picture, your future plans and your comfort level. His approach is simple: explain things clearly, act honestly, and set up mortgages that make sense today and years from now. Neel works with first-time buyers, people moving up to a bigger home, homeowners refinancing, and investors building a portfolio. Whatever the situation, he keeps the process simple, handles the details, and advocates for your best interests every step of the way. He speaks English, Gujarati and Hindi. Through Team Active Mortgage, Neel can access more than 50 lenders, including most major banks, credit unions and trust companies. The whole process, from application to approval, can be handled securely from your phone, so your mortgage fits around your schedule.

Does it cost anything to work with a Team Active Mortgage broker?
For standard residential mortgages, brokers are typically paid by the lender when the mortgage funds, so there is usually no fee to you. Some files, such as private or certain alternative lending, can involve fees. Any fee is disclosed to you in writing before you commit.
What documents will I need?
Usually government-issued photo ID, proof of income (recent pay stubs and an employment letter, or two years of tax returns and Notices of Assessment if self-employed), proof of your down payment, and details of debts and assets. Your broker will confirm the exact list for your situation.
How does switching lenders at renewal work?
When your term ends you can move your remaining balance to a new lender instead of signing your current lender's renewal offer. You re-qualify with the new lender, and the switch is arranged to take effect at maturity. Start the conversation a few months before your renewal date.
